7 Classical Music Concerts to See in N.Y.C. This Weekend

Our guide to the city’s best classical music and opera happening this weekend and in the week ahead.

‘4.48 PSYCHOSIS’ at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (Jan. 5-6, 8-9, 11-12, 8 p.m.) It’s a mark of the Prototype Festival’s stature as a natural home for contemporary opera and music-theater that, from its scrappy origins only a few years ago, it is now hosting a production that had its premiere at Covent Garden in London. Philip Venables’s adaptation of Sarah Kane’s last play is directed by Ted Huffman and features William Cole conducting the ensemble Contemporaneous.
