Public art can dazzle, amuse and confuse.
In New York City, statues of characters called Dogman and Rabbitgirl have been proliferating on city sidewalks and squares. Art critics have not been kind.
Some have called the statues “gimmicky” and accused the two Australian artists behind the sculptures of bypassing channels for public feedback.
